Terms of Service
Last updated: April 8, 2026
1. Service Description
The Dumpster Auditor ("Service", "we", "us") provides an AI-powered document audit tool that compares waste management service contracts against invoices to identify potential billing discrepancies. The Service is operated by The Dumpster Auditor.
The Service is informational in nature. Audit findings represent mathematical comparisons between contract terms and invoice amounts. They do not constitute legal advice, accounting advice, or any professional opinion.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Upload documents you do not have the legal right to submit (e.g., another party's contracts without authorization)
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automated-access the Service
- Submit false or misleading information
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law
- Resell or commercially redistribute audit results without written permission
3. Free Tier Limitations
The free audit tier allows analysis of up to 3 months of invoices per audit session. Free tier results are displayed on-screen only; PDF reports and demand letters require a paid tier. We reserve the right to impose rate limits on free tier usage to prevent abuse.
4. Paid Services
4.1 Recovery Pack ($499)
The Recovery Pack is a one-time payment for a single-property, 3-year invoice analysis. Payment is processed at time of purchase. Access to results and generated documents does not expire.
4.2 Watchdog Subscription ($29/month)
The Watchdog subscription is billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued for subscription cancellations.
5. Refund Policy
Recovery Pack: If the audit finds no overcharges on any invoice in your submission, we will issue a full refund upon request. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase with your Audit ID. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.
Watchdog: No refunds for subscription fees already billed.
6. Data Handling
Uploaded PDF documents are stored in encrypted, isolated cloud storage and automatically deleted 30 days after upload. Extracted audit data (structured JSON) may be retained longer as part of your account history. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all documents you upload. By uploading documents, you grant us a limited license to process those documents for the purpose of providing the audit Service. We claim no ownership over your documents or the data extracted from them.
The Service software, design, audit logic, and all generated reports are owned by The Dumpster Auditor. You may use generated reports for your own business purposes but may not redistribute them commercially.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE IS ERROR-FREE, THAT AUDIT RESULTS ARE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.
AI-powered document extraction may occasionally produce errors. Results should be reviewed by the user before relying on them for legal or financial decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DUMPSTER AUDITOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
